IV High Dose Vitamin C

IV High Dose Vitamin C is often used in Cancer, Lyme Disease, EBV, chronic fatigue and other autoimmune disorder treatments. The maximum Vitamin C dose that can be taken and absorbed orally without adverse digestive side effects is between 4-6 grams a day. At doses higher than 25 grams, IV Vitamin C undergoes a profound change and becomes and oxidant, not an anti-oxidant. While our cells thrive and benefit from some oxidation, bacteria, viruses, fungi and cancer cells are damaged from oxidation. IV High Dose Vitamin C also creates peroxides which are vital for thyroid health. Thyroid conditions such as hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's disease greatly benefit from IV High Dose Vitamin C.

*Note: you will need a simple blood test prior to receiving your first IV High Dose Vitamin C treatment.
Cost of the blood test is not included in the price of the IV.

IV High Dose Vitamin C and Cancer

Our immune system, specifically natural killer cells, use hydrogen peroxide “bombs” to attack infections such as viruses and bacteria.  It also uses hydrogen peroxide to signal cell death of cancer cells via apoptosis and necrosis.  As it turns out, when administered at high enough concentrations, intravenous Vitamin C converts to hydrogen peroxide in the blood.  Studies have shown that when cancer cells encounter hydrogen peroxide, including hydrogen peroxide generated from Vitamin C, cell death occurs.

So why not give hydrogen peroxide IV instead of high doses of Vitamin C?  Hydrogen peroxide is safe to administer IV.  However, it rapidly breaks down into water and oxygen in the blood when given as an IV.  It is not without benefit though.  Before it breaks down, it causes a release of cytokines (signaling proteins) from nearby immune cells that can aid in overall immune function and communication.

What about lower doses of Vitamin C?  Low doses of Vitamin C, such as from oral intake or IVs such as the Myer’s Cocktail, are still very beneficial to the immune system.  At low doses where it does not convert to hydrogen peroxide, it activates natural killer cells and improves their function.  Those are the same immune cells as noted above that throw hydrogen peroxide bombs at dangerous intruders.  So indirectly, hydrogen peroxide levels are still increased.  However, if the immune system has been damaged or weakened, such as from chemotherapy, medications such as corticosteroids, heavy metal toxicity, mold toxicity etc, the immune system may not be able to make enough hydrogen peroxide on its own.  This is why IV High Dose Vitamin C is so useful, you do not have to rely on a healthy immune system to get healthy again.

As one of my mentors said, if you are healthy and want to stay healthy, antioxidants such as low doses of Vitamin C are great.  However, if you are sick and want to get healthy, you need oxidants (High Dose Vitamin C, Ozone etc) to recover.

IV High Dose Vitamin C and Chemotherapy

Another great benefit of IV High Dose Vitamin C is how well it works with chemotherapy.  It can significantly decrease side effects when administered during the course of chemotherapy.  Most notably patients have better energy and less nausea than patients on the same chemotherapy drugs who do not do IV High Dose Vitamin C at the same time.  IV High Dose Vitamin C is also safe to use along side chemotherapy and in some cases can increase the efficacy of the chemotherapy.  The main exception to this is methotrexate which is not compatible with IV High Dose Vitamin C.
